Sticky & Sweet Tour (2009)

Madonna hit the road again in Europe in 2009 for the sequel to her highly successful Sticky & Sweet Tour! With 3 new songs and some costume changes, most fans see this as a better version of the tour.

The new perfomances have been filmed in Israel, but they won't be released with the 2008 DVD. However, Guy Oseary has said that they will reach the fans.

CHANGES
  • Unlike in 20008, Madonna played in some arenas! (The O2 Arena, MEN Arena, POP Bercy).
  • Costume changes:
    - New opening costume by Givenchy.
    - Old Skool shorts are replaced by a skirt.
    - She wears handgloves during the gypsy-section.
    - New pants that match those of the dancers in the rave-section.
  • Holiday (with excerpts from Everybody) replaced  Heartbeat.
  • A rock version of Dress You Up replaced Borderline.
  • A dance version of Frozen  replaced Hung Up.
  • The request section is removed.
  • Her hairdo is different in the opening section.


STICKY & SWEET 2009 FACTS
  • People were often let in during Madonna's soundcheck, before the show started.
  • Although the tour was done during summertime, it rained a lot during some shows.
  • When performing in Scandinavia and Russia, 3/4 of the show was in daylight.
  • This tour brought Madonna to places she's never been to, like Belgium and Bulgaria.
  • She did a Michael Jackson tribute during Holiday, featuring a dancer dressed up like Michael.
